Mobile app only: this feature is available in the Eventify mobile app. It isn't available in the web portal.
Event app push notifications tell you about meeting requests, messages and organiser updates when the app is closed. The app also asks for access to your camera, photos, calendar, microphone or location the first time a feature needs it. This article explains each one and how to change your answer later.
If your organiser has notifications switched on, the app asks once, after you log in to the event.

If you didn't allow them, the home screen may later show "Turn on push notifications" with "Get updates on your phone when you're not using the app." Tap Turn on to be asked again, or X to close the banner.
Turning it off stops push notifications from the event on this phone, including your meeting reminder notifications.
If notifications are blocked in your phone's settings, turning the switch on shows "This app needs permission to use this feature. You can grant them in app settings". Tap Settings and allow notifications there (see the last section).
When you log out of the event, your phone stops getting push notifications from it.
The app opens what the notification is about, such as a meeting, a chat, a session or a post, and marks it as read. If you tap one while you're logged out of the event, the app opens but doesn't go to the item.
All your notifications are also kept in the app.

Session reminders. Once you've added a session to your agenda, and before it starts, the session shows Reminder : Set now.
The session is added to your phone's calendar with an alarm, and you get a notification at that time. To remove it, tap the reminder again and choose Don't remind me. See How Attendees Can Build Their Personal Agenda.
Meeting reminders. When you allow calendar access, the app adds your accepted meetings to your phone's calendar with an alarm 10 minutes before. With push notifications on, you also get a reminder for each meeting and a 7 AM notification on meeting days: "You have few meetings scheduled for today." Cancelled meetings are taken off the calendar.

Each request starts with a screen from the app that explains why. Tap Continue, then answer your phone's own prompt.
When you allow location, your position is saved to your profile so that Near Me can show your distance to other attendees. See How Attendees Can Use Suggested Matches and Near Me in the Mobile App.
If you turned a permission down, your phone may not ask again. When you use that feature, the app shows "This app needs permission to use this feature. You can grant them in app settings".
If you tapped Cancel, open your phone's Settings, find the app in the list of apps, and change it there.
Why am I not getting push notifications from the event app?
Check that Push notifications is switched on in SETTINGS and that notifications are allowed for the app in your phone's settings. You also stop getting them from an event when you log out of it.
How do I get a reminder before a session starts?
Add the session to your agenda, tap Reminder : Set now and pick how long before the session. Allow calendar access if the app asks.
Why can't I scan QR codes in the app?
The app needs camera access. If you turned it down, tap Settings on the permission message and allow Camera for the app.
