Every ticket in Eventify has a Settings step with extra options that change how the ticket sells and who can hold it. This guide covers the advanced event ticketing options: ticket upgrades, when attendees are assigned, add-on limits per person, early listing and tier prices.

The section also holds the everyday options: Ticket Status (Enabled, Disabled or Enabled, but Hidden), Ticket color, Ticket Tags, Ticket waitlist, Mark Ticket as Sold Out and Custom Code for tracking pixels. Some options below only show for certain ticket types, as noted in each section.
Tick Allow existing attendee to buy and upgrade to this ticket? to let someone who is already registered for the event buy this ticket.
The hint on the option explains the effect: "This setting will override existing attendee details, if attendee is already available for the event."
Use it for a higher ticket, such as a VIP upgrade that general attendees can buy later. This option doesn't appear on add-on tickets.
This option decides when the buyer names the attendees on the order:
It matters for approval. Admin Approval Required and the Attendee Pre-Approved List only appear when the ticket is set to Before Payment, because the attendees have to be known before you can approve them. If you switch a ticket to After Payment, any approval setting on it is cleared when you publish. Add-on tickets never have the approval option. See How to Set Up Approval-Based Registration.

These options only appear on add-on tickets (created with Add New > Addon). They cap how many of the add-on one attendee can hold.
When a buyer tries to give an attendee more than the limit, checkout shows "Unable to assign ticket: this user has reached their maximum allowance of add-on tickets!"
For regular tickets, use Min per Booking and Max per Booking on the Ticket Details step to control how many can be bought in one order.
Switch on Show ticket before sale starts to "List this ticket in the ticket portal before its sale start date. It appears as coming soon and cannot be bought until sales open."
This switch only appears while the ticket's sale start date is still in the future. For a ticket with Multiple Tier pricing, the first tier's start date counts. Use it to build interest before an early-bird release.
This switch appears on paid tickets that use Multiple Tier pricing. It "Controls whether only the currently active ticket tier price is displayed, hiding prices for other ticket tiers."
Leave it off if you want buyers to see the whole price ladder, for example to show how much they save by buying early. Switch it on to show only the price that applies now. See How to Set Up Early-Bird and Tiered Ticket Pricing.

How do I let attendees upgrade their ticket?
Edit the higher ticket, go to Settings and tick Allow existing attendee to buy and upgrade to this ticket?. Registered attendees can then buy it, and their details are updated.
Why don't I see Admin Approval Required on my ticket?
It only appears on non-add-on tickets with When to Assign Attendee Ticket set to Before Payment.
How do I limit how many tickets one person can buy?
For a regular ticket, set Max per Booking on Ticket Details. For an add-on, set Assign Limit Per User to Limited and enter the Max Limit Per User.
Can I show a ticket as coming soon before sales open?
Yes. Switch on Show ticket before sale starts. The switch only shows while the sale start date is in the future.
