Differentiating between various types of attendees, such as admins, volunteers, sponsors, and participants, is crucial for effective event management. Below are the steps for managing user groups to ensure smooth event access:

Managing User Groups

  • Go to the Eventify Admin Panel and click on People >> User Groups. Here you will find a list of preset groups essential for an event, with the option to edit.
ℹ️ However all custom created groups can be deleted too.
  • You can create new groups from the Add New option as per your requirement. These groups can either be public or private for internal use.
🔺 Internal group names are not visible on the associated user’s profile.

How to Edit a Group?

While editing a group you will get the following options:

  • Update the General Information
Here you can modify the group name, set a specific registration form other than the Default checkout form and mark it as internal if required.
  • Update the Email Templates for the group members
When you are creating a group, default email templates are auto assigned. But you can modify the email templates for a particular group too.
  • Update the Roles & Permissions for the group members
Similar to Email templates, the group roles and permissions are auto assigned on creation. However you can modify what features from the event are available for the particular group.

Once you have set up the User Groups, each user must be associated with at least one group. But don't worry about having to do it manually!
Each user automatically gets associated with a group based on the ticket or registration form or even imports. However, can modify the groups for the users.

‍Associating attendees with a group

  • Navigate to People >> Manage Attendees and there while adding or editing a user, you will find the option to select a user’s primary and secondary (other) groups. You can either select from the list of preset groups or add custom groups of your own.
  • To customize a group, click on the Manage Group option.

Manage Group button is a quick access to the user groups that are set for the event. You can modify the user groups from here too.

After making changes to user groups or user associations, ensure that you save your work to implement the updates.
