How to Ensure Active Participation from Attendees in A Session

To ensure active participation from attendees in a session, consider incorporating Live Q&A and polls. Live Q&A allows attendees to engage with speakers in real-time, asking questions and receiving immediate responses. Polls provide valuable feedback and insights into attendees' opinions and preferences, helping tailor the content to meet their needs. 

To implement these features, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Access the Eventify Admin Panel at https://app.eventify.io/login and navigate to "Session Engagement" from the side menu.
  2. Choose between "Poll" or "Live Q&A" to initiate either engagement feature.

Let's explore both features, starting with Live Q&A.

Once you click on Live Q&A, the page will open up, allowing you to create questions for the session.

In this feature, attendees can ask questions directly from the app, and the host (admin or speaker) can also add new questions from the admin panel. To add a new question, simply click on the "Add Q&A" button. This action will prompt the appearance of the "Create Live Q&A" pop-up window.

  • Select a session from the Session dropdown list.
  • Enter your question in the "What would you like to ask?" field.
  • Click on "Save." Repeat these steps to add more Live Q&A questions as needed.

🔺Additional optional features are offered in this Live Q&A functionality as follows:

  • You can rearrange questions by dragging them and designate a question as important or unimportant by clicking on the star icon.
  • If auto-publish is enabled, questions will be directly published and visible to all attendees. However, if auto-publish is disabled, questions must be manually published by the admin. Unpublished questions can be viewed under the "Unpublished" tab.
  • To reply to a question, simply click on the "Reply" button. This will open a pop-up displaying all received replies, allowing you to respond as well.
  • Live Display enhances session interactivity by opening the Live Q&A URL in any browser. Moderators/speakers can select questions from the published list to display on the screen, facilitating discussion on chosen topics.
  • You have the option to export all the data for further analysis and review.

The second feature is Polls in event sessions that provide valuable feedback on attendees' opinions, preferences, and behaviors, aiding in customizing content and presentations to meet their needs.

To add a new Poll, click "Add Poll". Enter the question and options. Choose a session if needed. Select multiple options if desired and enable result visibility post submission.

ℹ️ Polls once created can't be edited. It can be archived.

🔺For additional poll features:

- Access "Active Polls" or "Archived Polls" tabs to view active or archived polls.

- Download session-based poll results in Excel format.

- Download all poll results in PDF format.

- To boost session interaction, use the Live Poll URL from the live display. Open it in any browser to view session polls. Moderators can select polls to display, with live results visible to all.
