A multi-round abstract review process lets different groups of reviewers score the same submissions, one round after another or side by side. In Eventify you set this up in the Add Reviewer step of your abstract, as part of the abstract management tools in the event management platform. This article shows how to add rounds, choose their order and assign reviewers to each one.
A single round is enough when one panel scores every submission. Use Multiple Rounds when you want a second opinion, for example:
Each round has its own reviewers and its own way of handing out submissions. Reviews are stored per round, so a reviewer who scored a submission in one round scores it again if they are assigned to it in a later round.

This step is optional. The screen says "This step is optional. You can skip it and assign reviewers later."
When Multiple Rounds is selected, Round Execution Order has two options:
Parallel Order is the default. Pick Sequential Order when a later round depends on the earlier scores.
With Sequential Order, a round can't be scored until every reviewer in the previous round has finished. If you open a submission and try to rate for a round that is still waiting, you see Sequential Review Required with the message "Please complete the review for Round 1 before reviewing Round 2. Reviews must be completed in sequential order."
To move a submission forward, make sure all reviewers in the earlier round have submitted their reviews. You can check this under Reviewer Activity in the submission, where each reviewer shows a round badge and Reviewed or Pending.

Each round card has its own Reviewer Distribution setting:
New rounds start with Round Robin. For Round Robin and Random Distribution, pick reviewers under Available Reviewers:
If a reviewer isn't in the list yet, click Add Reviewer below the rounds. This opens Send Reviewer Invite, where you add their details. See How to Manage Abstract Reviewers and Their Workload for the workload limit that Random Distribution uses.
Reviewers log in to the reviewer portal and see only the submissions assigned to them. When a new round opens a submission to them, they can score it again for that round. The reviewer's side is covered in How to Review Abstracts as a Reviewer.

In the admin panel, open a submission from Submissions. Reviewer Activity lists the Assigned Reviewers with a Round badge on each one, and the Overall Average across all reviews.
What is the difference between parallel and sequential abstract review?
In Parallel Order all rounds can review at once. In Sequential Order a round starts only when every reviewer in the previous round has finished.
Can I use different reviewers in each round?
Yes. Each round has its own Reviewer Distribution and its own list of selected reviewers.
Can I change a single-round abstract to multiple rounds later?
Yes. Edit the abstract, open Add Reviewer, choose Multiple Rounds, set up the rounds and click Save & Next.
Do I have to assign reviewers when I create the abstract?
No. The step is optional, and you can assign reviewers later from Submissions.
