Eventify has a new ticket and registration portal with a redesigned checkout. Events created from the admin panel now use it from the start. Older events stay on the previous portal until you switch, so nothing changes for a running event without your say-so. This article explains what the switch does, what it unlocks and how to go back.
The switch affects every ticket and registration address of the event:
The attendee web portal, the embed widgets and your event website are not affected.
Some features only exist on the new portal. They stay hidden in the admin panel until you switch:
#image# Tickets dashboard card with the Ticketing page URL and the New portal switch turned on
You see "This event now uses the new portal." The URL in the card changes straight away. Open it and run through a test checkout before you announce the event.
If you see "Data is still loading, please try after sometime!", wait a moment for the page to finish loading and click the switch again.
You can switch back at any time. Nothing is migrated or lost.
Accommodation, regional gateways and the other features above disappear from the admin panel until you switch on again. Their settings are kept.
My event was created recently. Do I need to switch?
No. Events created or cloned from the admin panel are on the new portal already, and the switch is on.
Will attendees who already have a ticket link lose it?
No. Links in emails already sent keep working. New emails use the new address.
Why can't I see Accommodation in the Registration menu?
Your event is still on the old portal. Switch on New portal, then enable the Accommodation module under Setup > Features.
Does the switch change my embed code or event website?
No. Embedded sections and your website keep their own addresses. The link in the Customize Embeds window has a separate Try out new portal link switch.
