The Payment Details step is where you enter the buyer's details, check the total and pay. If a payment fails or gets stuck, the second half of this article explains what each message means.

For Belgian companies at events with e-invoicing, the VAT number is checked against the EU VAT registry and a small e-invoice fee is added.
If your organiser offers Express Checkout, you can click Connect with LinkedIn or Connect with Facebook to fill in your details, or choose to enter them manually.
Check the details before you pay. You can't change the buyer details on your order page afterwards.
The Refund Policy, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy links in the page footer open your organiser's policies in a new tab.
The Order Summary lists each ticket and session, the Subtotal, any discount, a line for each tax, a card Fee if your organiser passes it on, and the Order Total.
The button at the bottom of the Order Summary depends on your order and your organiser's settings:
When your organiser allows both, you see Place Order and Pay Offline side by side.

Depending on how your organiser has set up payments, you pay in one of these ways:
Paid orders show "All transactions are encrypted and securely processed. Your bank or card details are never stored."
After you pay, you see "Processing the transaction. Do not close this window or stop/refresh the page." Wait until it finishes. You then land on your order page, or on your organiser's own thank-you page.
If some attendees need the organiser's approval, you're only charged for the approved or pre-approved ones for now. See How Attendees Can Track a Registration or Ticket That Needs Approval.
If you chose Pay Offline, your order page tells you your tickets are reserved and your organiser collects the payment offline. Your seats are confirmed once your organiser records the payment. Contact your organiser for how to pay.

Each of these has a Go to Home button that takes you back to the ticket page.
If you left the payment before it finished, open your order page. The unpaid amount has a Pay Now button so you can try again. See How Attendees Can Open and Manage Their Ticket Order.
For errors that show in the red box in the Order Summary before you pay, see How Attendees Can Fix Registration and Ticket Checkout Errors.
Can I pay for event tickets by bank transfer or invoice?
Only if your organiser allows offline payment. You then see a Pay Offline button. Your organiser tells you how to pay and confirms your seats once they've recorded the payment.
Why was I charged for fewer tickets than I ordered?
Some tickets need the organiser's approval. You're only charged for approved or pre-approved attendees, and you pay for the others from your order page once they're approved.
Can I change my billing details after I've paid?
No. The Buyer Details on your order page can't be edited. Contact your organiser if they need correcting.
My payment failed. Was I charged?
"Your payment is failed, please try again." means the payment didn't go through. If you see "Your payment is processing." instead, wait and check your order page before you pay again.
Don't see this? Your organiser decides which features are switched on for your event and who can use them. See Why Attendees Can't See a Feature in the Event Portal.
