The welcome page is the first thing you see when you open your event's portal link without logging in. From here you can read about the event, register or buy tickets if that's open, and log in.

If your organiser requires login to see everything, the welcome page shows a shorter set of cards until you log in. Inside some details you see "Login to bookmark, RSVP, and interact with this content." with a Login button.
Some events use their own event website instead. In that case, the portal link opens that website when you're logged out.
If your organiser has opened registration or ticket sales, the header shows Register Now or Buy Tickets.
If neither button is there, registration is closed or handled another way. Check your invitation or contact your organiser.

If you're having trouble, click contact support next to "Problem logging in?", if your event has support switched on.

A few seconds after your first visit, a banner appears with the title "Our website uses cookies!".

The types you can pick are Functionality, Analytics Storage, Ad Storage, Ad User Data, Ad Personalisation, Personalization Storage and Security Storage. If you untick any of them, your choice is treated as necessary only.
Choosing Necessary only also means the portal won't keep your email and name saved in your browser.
If you close the banner with X, a small cookie button stays on the page. Click it (Cookie preferences) to open your choices again.
