Session RSVP lets you control who gets into a session with limited seats. In Eventify you turn it on per session, choose how many seats there are, and decide what happens to people who ask for a seat once the session is full. Attendees then reserve their seat from the event agenda in the portal and the event app.

With RSVP on, attendees must RSVP to the session before they can access it. Admins can access every session without an RSVP. If the RSVP option shows an upgrade prompt, your plan doesn't include it.
When you turn RSVP on, the session starts with Unlimited Capacity, no waitlist and RSVP Cancel switched on. Click Save when you have finished your changes.
Under RSVP Capacity, pick one option:
The capacity must be a whole number. You can enter 0, which closes the session to new RSVPs. If you lower the capacity below the number of attendees already confirmed and there is no waitlist, the session won't save and you see "Number of confirmed RSVP users are more than capacity." Raise the number or turn on the waitlist.
Without a waitlist, attendees who try to RSVP once every seat is taken are told the session is full and can't reserve a seat.
The waitlist is available only with Fixed Capacity.
Extra RSVP requests then go onto a waitlist after the session reaches capacity, instead of being turned away.

The mode decides what happens when a confirmed attendee cancels and a seat frees up:
If you switch between Unlimited Capacity and Fixed Capacity, the capacity, the waitlist and the waitlist mode reset, so check them again before you save.

You can also add attendees to the RSVP list yourself from this window, and it applies the same capacity rules.
To message everyone at once, click the three-dot menu above the list:
Each option asks you to confirm before it sends.
RSVP Cancel lets attendees cancel their RSVP for the session. It is on by default when you first turn on RSVP. Switch it off to stop attendees from cancelling. A cancelled RSVP frees the seat, which then follows your waitlist mode.
If you turn RSVP off for a session that attendees received through a ticket order, a warning asks "Turn RSVP off for this session?". Those attendees lose their RSVP when you save, but they keep access to the session.
Go to Settings > Email Templates to edit the messages sent for session RSVPs:
See How to Manage Event Email Templates in Eventify for editing and testing templates.
Attendees see how many seats are taken and click I confirm to reserve one. When the session is full and has a waitlist, they are told they have been added to the waitlist, and the session card shows that their RSVP is in the queue until they get a seat. They can leave the waitlist or cancel a confirmed seat from the session details when RSVP Cancel is on. Share How to RSVP to a Session and Join a Waitlist with your attendees for the full steps.
What happens when a session is full?
With a waitlist, new RSVPs join the waitlist. Without one, attendees are told the session capacity is full and can't RSVP until a seat frees up or you raise the capacity.
Can I approve waitlisted attendees myself?
Yes. Choose Manual Approval, then open View/Manage users in the RSVP card and click Confirm next to each attendee you want to seat.
Can attendees leave the session waitlist?
Yes. Clicking a session they are waitlisted for asks whether they want to cancel their RSVP. Confirmed attendees can cancel only when RSVP Cancel is switched on.
Why can't I save a lower session capacity?
The number of confirmed attendees is higher than the new capacity. Raise the capacity, or turn on Waitlist so the extra people can wait for a seat.
