The desktop kiosk prints badges on any printer installed on the computer: a label printer, a badge printer, or an office laser or inkjet printer. It prints straight to the printer with no print dialog. This article covers the printer setup and every option on the kiosk's Settings screen.

Changes on the Settings screen save straight away. There is no Save button.
If you don't choose a printer, the kiosk uses the computer's default printer. Choose one here so badges never go to an office printer by mistake.
If your printer isn't in the list, check it's installed and switched on, then restart the computer and open the kiosk app again.
There is no separate test print. Scan the QR code of a staff member or a test attendee and click Print Badge. Check:

Printers, Rotation, Single Page Print, Y Offset (cm), External Scanner, Show Event Name and Show Primary Group in Preview belong to this laptop. You set them on each kiosk.
Two Sided Badge, the fold option (Roll Type) and Disable Scan come from Kiosk Setup in the admin panel. Each sync resets them to the Kiosk Setup values, so change them there if you want the change to last.
When Show Event Name is on, you can drag the event name to another place on the screen. On a touch screen, hold it for a moment first ("Hold to move"). Point at it and click "Rotate" to turn it. The kiosk remembers the position until you log out.
The Settings, Sync and Logout buttons are on the scan screen and don't ask for the kiosk passcode. Place the laptop so attendees can reach the screen and scanner but not the keyboard or trackpad.
Can I use a normal office printer?
Yes. Any printer installed on the computer works. Design your badge template at a size your printer can print, such as a badge insert size, and load the matching paper.
Can I print a batch of badges from the kiosk?
No. The kiosk prints one badge at a time, for the attendee in front of it. To print badges in advance, use the Badge Designer in the admin panel. See How to Design and Print Attendee Badges on Eventify.
