The desktop check-in app is called EventifyKiosk. You download the installer from your Eventify admin panel and install it on each laptop you'll use as a kiosk. There are versions for Windows and for Mac.
To check which chip your Mac has, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. The Chip line should show Apple M1 or later.

Download the app only from this link in your admin panel. It always points to the current version.

Windows may show the security prompt the first time because the app is installed from outside the Microsoft Store. It appears once for each installer.

macOS may show the security prompt the first time because the app is installed from outside the Mac App Store. After you open it once, it opens normally.
The app opens full screen on the "Login to Kiosk" screen. It stays full screen so that attendees only see the kiosk. From here, log in with your Eventify account. See How to Log In, Choose an Event and Log Out of the Desktop Kiosk.
On Windows, camera access follows your Windows privacy settings. If the camera doesn't show on the scan screen, see How to Fix Common Desktop Kiosk Problems.
The version number shows in the bottom right corner of every kiosk screen.
Update before event day, then log in and download your attendees again to check that everything works.
Is the desktop kiosk app free to download?
The download is in your admin panel. If you see an upgrade label on the Download Kiosk Desktop Apps button, the desktop kiosk apps aren't included in your current plan.
Do I need to install it on every laptop?
Yes. Install the app and log in on each computer you'll use as a kiosk.
Is there a Linux version?
No. The desktop kiosk is offered for Windows and Mac.
