User Signup / Login settings control how attendees access your event — from enforcing login before viewing content, to enabling GPS-based nearby attendee filtering and sending iCalendar files.

When you turn Login Mandatory off, a confirmation dialog appears asking you to confirm the change.
When on, a single attendee account can be logged in simultaneously on multiple devices. Turn this off if you need to enforce single-device access (e.g., exclusive ticketed events).
"Choose when users should be prompted to complete or update their profile." The app opens the Edit Profile screen for the attendee at the moment you pick:

When on, Eventify attaches a .ics calendar file to the welcome, registration and assign ticket emails. The attendee can open it to add the event directly to their calendar app (Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar).
When Send ICS File is on, a Calendar (.ics) details option appears below it.

When on, attendees can send and receive networking chat invites. Turning this off removes the "Send Chat Invite" option across all networking interactions. If turned off after invites have already been sent, existing chat threads are also cancelled.
When on, the total number of users who have enabled networking (GDPR-consented users) is displayed on the attendee home screen. Useful for creating a sense of community at large events.
When on, attendees can filter the networking attendee list by physical proximity using their device's GPS. Requires location permission in the mobile app.
Recommended for in-person events. For virtual or hybrid events, consider leaving this off to avoid irrelevant distance-based filtering.

Sets how long a login passcode stays valid before it expires. Choose from the dropdown:
If you have not changed it, passcodes expire after 1 week.
When on, admins are periodically signed out and asked to log in again to keep their session secure. This setting is on by default. Turn it off if your admins should stay signed in.
Q: What happens to existing chat threads if I turn off Attendee Invitation before messaging?
Turning off Attendee Invitation before messaging cancels any pending chat invites and prevents new ones from being sent. Existing accepted conversations remain accessible.
Q: Why is the Login Mandatory toggle greyed out?
This toggle requires the Login Mandatory module to be active on your Eventify plan. The toggle renders as disabled with a tooltip explaining the restriction. Contact your account manager to enable it.
Q: Does GPS filtering work on web?
GPS-based nearby filtering is a mobile app feature. It requires the attendee to grant location permissions in the Eventify mobile app.
Q: How do I make attendees complete their profile?
Set Automatically Open Edit Profile to Missing Required Fields. The Edit Profile screen opens on login until every mandatory field and the profile picture are filled in.
Q: How do I stop attendees logging in on more than one device?
Turn off Multiple Login. Each attendee account can then only be logged in on one device at a time.
Q: Can attendees get a calendar invite for the event?
Yes. Turn on Send ICS File and a .ics file is attached to the welcome email so attendees can add the event to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Q: How long is an Eventify login passcode valid?
By default a passcode is valid for 1 week. Change it in Passcode Should Expire, or choose Use as OTP so each passcode expires after 3 minutes.
Q: Can I add extra details to the event calendar invite?
Yes. With Send ICS File on, click Manage fields under Calendar (.ics) details and add your own Label and Value rows.
