Eventify Networking lets attendees discover, connect, and message each other during your event. It includes an attendee directory, interest-based matchmaking, connection requests, direct messaging, QR code scanning, VCard drops at exhibitor booths, and meeting requests — all inside the event app.

Pre-Event Networking Checklist
Use this checklist before your event goes live:
- Go to Dashboard → Engagement → Networking
- Enable Chat Invites so attendees can send connection requests
- If using Advanced Rules, configure the Matchmaking Grid to control which attendee groups receive suggestions for each other
- Toggle Users Visibility Rules on if you want to control which groups can see each other in the attendee directory — then configure the Visibility Grid
- Toggle Allow Attendees to Message Speakers on or off
- Enable or disable Drop VCard for exhibitor booth interactions
- Set the attendee directory display order — alphabetical (A–Z) or random
- Enable Both-Way Scan if QR code scans should register the connection in both attendees' accounts simultaneously
- Confirm all attendees have Confirmed account status — attendees with Pending status cannot send requests, appear in the directory, or generate networking activity data

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to configure the matchmaking grid before the event?
Only if you select Advanced Rules as your matchmaking mode. Disabled and Common Interest-based modes do not use the grid.
Q: Can I restrict who sees who in the directory without affecting matchmaking suggestions?
Yes. The Visibility Grid is controlled by a separate "Users Visibility Rules" toggle and is independent of your matchmaking mode. You can enable visibility restrictions even when matchmaking is set to Disabled.
Q: Why can't some attendees use networking features?
Attendees must have Confirmed account status. Pending accounts cannot send requests, appear in the directory, or generate analytics data.
