When your registration policy is set to Approval-Based, every new registration requires your review. Approved attendees receive their confirmation; declined ones are notified automatically.
How to access: Event Dashboard → Registration → Approvals
Before You Start
- Your registration policy must be set to Approval-Based. See: What Are the Registration Policy Types.
- Configure your approval and rejection email templates in Settings → Email Templates before your first approval wave.
Reviewing a Registration
- Go to Event Dashboard → Registration → Approvals.
- The list shows all Pending registrations with name, email, registration date, and ticket type.
- Click on a registrant's row to open the Registration Detail modal.
- Review their form responses, ticket selection, and any other submitted data.
- Click Approve or Decline.
Approving or Declining from the List
You do not need to open the detail modal for every registrant. From the list view:
- Click the green checkmark to approve directly
- Click the red X to decline directly
- A confirmation prompt appears before the action is processed.
Email Notifications
- Approval — the attendee receives a confirmation email with their ticket or access link
- Decline — the attendee receives a decline notification
Both emails use your configured templates. Customize them in Settings → Email Templates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I add a personal message when declining a registration?
A: Custom messages per decline are not supported — the standard decline email template is sent. Customize the template text for your event context.
Q: Can attendees reapply after being declined?
A: A declined attendee can submit a new registration unless you block their email. Their previous submission remains in the declined list.
