Ticket-gated sessions let you reserve specific sessions for attendees who hold a particular ticket type — ideal for premium workshops, certified training, masterclasses, or VIP experiences within a broader event.
How to access: Dashboard → Content → Schedule → create or edit a session → Basic tab
Ticket types must be created first at Dashboard → Ticketing before you can assign them to sessions.
| Type | Visible to all? | Requires ticket? | Requires manual assignment? |
|---|---|---|---|
| With Ticket & Public | Yes | Yes | No |
| With Ticket & Private | No | Yes | Yes |
With Ticket & Public — the session appears on the schedule for everyone, but only ticket holders can attend. Use this when discoverability matters.
With Ticket & Private — the session is hidden from anyone not manually assigned. Requires both a ticket and an organizer-assigned invite. Use for VIP or closed sessions.
For With Ticket & Private, also manually assign attendees via RSVP & Capacity → Add Users.
Q: Do I need to manually verify ticket purchases?
A: No. For With Ticket & Public, access is granted automatically when an attendee holds the required ticket.
Q: Can I change a session from free to ticket-gated after attendees have RSVP'd?
A: Yes. Edit the session and change the session type. Review your attendee list after making the change.
Q: What happens if an attendee tries to join without the ticket?
A: They will be prompted to obtain the required ticket. They cannot join without it.
