When an attendee taps your push notification, you can send them directly to a specific piece of content inside the app — a session, speaker profile, sponsor page, survey, poll, or more. This is called an internal link, and it dramatically improves engagement by removing friction between the notification and the action.
Go to Outreach → Push Notifications → + Create New (or edit a scheduled notification).
Under Redirect Type, select Internal.
An autocomplete search box appears. Type the name of the content you want to link to. Eventify searches across all 8 supported content types:
| Content Type | What It Links To |
|---|---|
| Session | A specific session in your agenda |
| Speaker | A speaker's profile page |
| Sponsor | A sponsor's profile page |
| Exhibitor | An exhibitor's profile page |
| Survey | A specific survey |
| Poll | A specific poll |
| Community | A community post |
| News | A news item |
Click the correct item from the search results. The link is set. When attendees tap your notification, they'll land directly on that content.
Complete the rest of your notification setup and send or schedule as normal.
Q: Can I link to an external website instead?
A: Yes. Select External as the Redirect Type and enter any URL. Attendees will be taken to that URL when they tap the notification.
Q: What happens if I select “None” for redirect type?
A: Tapping the notification opens the app without navigating to any specific content.
Q: Can I link to a custom page or module not listed?
A: Currently, internal links are supported for the 8 content types listed above. Custom module deep links are not available.
Q: What if the content I linked to is deleted after I send the notification?
A: The link may not resolve correctly if the target content has been removed. Attendees may see an error or be redirected to the app home screen.
Q: Can I update the link on a scheduled notification?
A: Yes — you can edit a scheduled notification's link before it sends. You cannot change the notification type, but other fields including the redirect are editable.
