If you have screens or TVs at your event venue, Live Display is the feature you want. It runs a branded, auto-rotating slideshow on those screens showing your agenda, event photos, gamification leaderboard, social feed, sponsor logos, and an app download prompt. Attendees walking past a screen stay informed and engaged without needing to open the app.
To get there, go to your Eventify dashboard and navigate to Setup > Branding > Live Display (Beta).
You configure which screens appear, in what order, and for how long each one stays on. Eventify then generates a unique Live Display URL for your event. You open that URL in a full-screen browser on any device connected to your venue screen or TV, and it rotates through everything automatically. No manual intervention needed once it's running.
The URL is visible at the top of the preview panel on the right side of the page. You can copy it from there with one click.
Start by choosing either Light or Dark as the overall theme for the display. The default is Dark. If your venue has bright lighting or you prefer a lighter look, switch to Light before doing anything else.
There are six screens available, shown in a drag-and-drop list. Here's what each one shows:
Drag the screens up or down to set the rotation order. Use the toggle next to each one to turn it on or off. Only enabled screens will appear in the live rotation.
Click Edit next to any screen to open its settings. Every screen has two common fields:
A couple of screens have extra options worth knowing about:
The Leaderboard screen has two additional fields: a Title (up to 60 characters) that appears above the rankings, and a Description (up to 100 characters) that shows below the title. Use these to add context, like the name of the game or a motivating message.
The Sponsor screen has a display mode dropdown. Set it to By Category to group sponsors by their tier and rotate through each group, or All to show every sponsor logo together in one continuous rotation.
The Ticker is a scrolling text banner that runs along the bottom of every screen in the rotation. It's a good place for announcements, reminders, or a welcome message.
Toggle the Ticker on using the switch, then click the edit icon next to it to configure:
The preview panel on the right side of the page shows a live embedded view of your display. After making changes, hit Refresh to reload the preview. Use the Full Screen button if you want to review it at full size before going live.
When everything looks good, click Publish Changes. Note that the button says "Publish Changes" rather than "Save" — it only becomes active once you've made at least one change in the current session. Until you publish, nothing is updated on the live display URL.
Q: How do I get the Live Display onto a venue screen?
Copy the Live Display URL from the preview panel and open it in a browser on any device connected to your venue screen or TV. Put the browser in full-screen mode and it will rotate through the enabled screens automatically from that point on.
Q: Does the display keep rotating on its own or do I need to do anything?
Once the URL is open in a browser, it rotates completely on its own based on the intervals you've set. You don't need to touch it again unless you want to make changes.
Q: What is the minimum and maximum interval for each screen?
The minimum is 5 seconds and the maximum is 5 minutes. You set this per screen using the interval slider in the Edit modal.
Q: Can I rename the screens?
Yes. Each screen has a Name field in its Edit modal where you can enter a custom label between 5 and 15 characters. The name appears as the section heading on the live display.
Q: What is the difference between By Category and All for the Sponsor screen?
By Category groups your sponsors by their tier or category and rotates through each group separately. All displays every sponsor logo together in a single continuous rotation regardless of category.
Q: Can I turn off a screen I don't need without deleting it?
Yes. Just toggle it off in the screen list. It will be removed from the rotation but the settings are saved, so you can turn it back on at any time.
Q: Why is my preview blank or not loading?
The preview loads through an embedded frame. Click the Refresh button to reload it. If the URL field is empty, the event's Live Display may not be fully set up yet — reach out to Eventify support in that case.
Q: Do I need to republish every time I make a small change?
Yes. The Publish Changes button is what pushes your updates to the live display URL. Until you click it, the venue screen will still show the previous version.
Q: Can I use Live Display without the Eventify mobile app?
Yes. Live Display runs entirely in a browser and does not require attendees to have the app installed. It's designed for venue screens, not personal devices.
