Disabling an ad removes it from the app without deleting it — useful for pausing ads between sessions or event days while keeping the ad ready to re-enable.
Disabled ads show a red exclamation-circle warning icon in the advertisement list with the tooltip "Banner is disabled".
Note: Disabling preserves all ad settings. Re-enable at any time by editing the ad and checking the Enable/Disable checkbox again.
User group targeting lets you show an ad only to specific attendee segments. Ads with no group assigned are visible to all attendees.
Before you start: User groups must already be created in your event before they can be assigned to ads.
Q: What does the red icon next to an ad name mean?
A: It means the ad is disabled. It will not appear in the app until re-enabled.
Q: Can I assign an ad to multiple user groups?
A: Yes. The Assign to groups field supports multi-select. Attendees in any of the selected groups will see the ad.
Q: If I leave the groups field blank, who sees the ad?
A: All attendees. The list shows "All" when no group is assigned.
Q: Do user groups need to be created before I can target ads?
A: Yes. User groups must already exist in your event settings before they appear as options in the Assign to groups dropdown.
