A Trivia challenge presents attendees with one or more questions in the Eventify app. Attendees earn points for answering correctly. Trivia is ideal for testing event knowledge, reinforcing sponsor or speaker content, or simply adding a fun competitive layer to your event.
Best for: Knowledge quizzes, sponsor brand awareness, session content reinforcement, icebreakers.
Challenge Name (required, max 50 characters) — the title attendees see in the app (e.g. "Event Knowledge Quiz", "Sponsor Spotlight Trivia").
Description (required, max 300 characters) — tell attendees what the trivia is about and how to participate.
Reward Type (required) — select from the dropdown:
Points for Each (required if Reward Type is Points) — enter the number of points awarded per correct answer.
Show Popup (required) — controls whether a congratulations popup appears to the attendee in the app after they complete the trivia.
Click Save Changes. The Trivia challenge is created and set to Active by default.
Once created, your Trivia challenge appears in the list with the Type column showing Trivia. Use the All / Trivia / Scan QR tabs at the top to filter the list and see only your Trivia challenges.
Q: Can I edit the trivia questions after the challenge is created?
A: Yes. Click the edit icon on the challenge row, then click Insert Trivia to update or add questions.
Q: Do attendees see the correct answer after submitting?
A: Post-submission feedback (showing correct answers) is controlled by the trivia form settings. Configure this in the question builder.
Q: What happens if I save the Trivia challenge without clicking Insert Trivia?
A: Eventify will show a validation error and prevent saving. At least one question must be added before saving.
