What Is Matchmaking in Eventify?
Eventify's matchmaking feature analyses attendee profiles and connects participants who share relevant interests, goals, or backgrounds. Rather than leaving networking to chance, matchmaking surfaces the most relevant people for each attendee — and allows them to book a 1-on-1 meeting directly from their suggested matches list.
How Matchmaking Works
- Attendees complete their profiles in the event app — adding their interests, objectives, and professional background.
- Eventify's matchmaking engine compares profiles and generates a ranked list of suggested matches for each attendee.
- Attendees receive suggestions in the app and can view each match's profile.
- Attendees send meeting requests directly from the match suggestion — which flows into the standard 1-on-1 meeting request flow.
- The other attendee accepts or declines the request.
Configuring Matchmaking Rules
Admins can define the criteria used for generating matches — such as:
- Shared interests or tags
- Job title or industry
- Stated objectives (e.g. "Looking to invest", "Seeking partnerships")
- Attendee category or ticket type
Matchmaking + 1-on-1 Meetings Together
Matchmaking and 1-on-1 meetings work as a pipeline:
- Matchmaking → surfaces the right people
- 1-on-1 Meetings → provides the mechanism to connect
Together they create a structured networking experience at scale.
