October brought the biggest set of releases this year, from facial recognition at the door to live transcription in the room, a much more capable Sales Report and an AI support bot inside the admin panel. Here is what shipped.
Check-in and kiosk
- Facial recognition check-in (Beta). Attendees look at the kiosk camera and get their badge. New Check-In Methods in Kiosk Setup let you combine facial recognition, QR scan and search. Read more.
- Kiosk Full Sync. One tap in the app's Kiosk Mode refreshes attendees, kiosk settings and badge templates, with a Last updated time and a Restore option for settings. A Badge Print Compatibility switch helps when a badge fails to generate.
- Desktop kiosk 4.6.2 re-focuses the search field after every scan with a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner.
Sessions and engagement
- Live session transcription. Record the speaker from the Live Display and attendees read the text in the app or portal in any of more than 130 languages. Read more.
- Delete a poll, with a clear list of what is removed, and copy a poll's ID from its results.
- Meeting Scheduling Flow. Choose whether attendees pick a room first or a time slot first when booking 1:1 meetings.
- Tagged in this photo. Gallery photos list the attendees tagged in them.
Registration and ticketing
- New ticket portal switch. Each event can move to the new ticket portal with one toggle, and move back if needed. Self-service gateways, accommodation, the 3D booth map and company profiles at checkout live on the new portal.
- Day-wise access for registration form groups. Set the event dates per registration form and every attendee in that group inherits them. Read more.
- Draft orders and cart recovery. Checkouts are saved as soon as the buyer enters an email, show as Draft in the Sales Report, and buyers can be emailed a link back to their cart, manually or automatically. Read more.
- Delete Order. Remove test, duplicate or wrong orders permanently, with a clear list of what goes and who stays.
- Update unpaid attendee details on a ticket without re-assigning it, and see Charged as with the exchange rate on orders paid in another currency.
- Company Profile at checkout. Sponsor and exhibitor tickets collect Basic Details or All Details of the company per ticket, creating the company profile once payment is complete.
- Registration approval at scale. Bulk approve or decline in batches with progress and a Stop button, confirmation dialogs, Delete Selected and clearer error messages.
- Accommodation, phase 2. Rate details, guest counts with extra-guest pricing, date-wise rates, hotel policies, room changes with price differences and a guest list export.
- Field instructions now allow up to 1500 characters and also appear in the attendee portal's forms. Read more.
Attendees and communication
- Incomplete Profile filter and export in Manage Attendees. Read more.
- AI import for attendees, mapping your file to each group's registration form. Read more.
- Campaign attachments and variables. Attach up to five files to a campaign email and insert variables from inside the editor. Read more.
- Push notifications with deep links. Bulk-imported pushes can open a session, speaker, sponsor, exhibitor, survey, poll, community post or news item.
- Support Chat Notification. Choose which admins get an email when an attendee starts a support chat, and a new Add Requested Meeting email template.
- Login Email guard. A dashboard banner warns when the Login Email template is switched off or not linked to a group, so attendees never miss their passcode.
Admin panel
- Eventify AI Bot in Help & Support. Ask questions and get answers from the knowledge base with sources, keep a chat history, report a wrong answer, hand the conversation to a support ticket with one click, or Request a Feature.
- Abstract management upgrades. Report status cards, bulk reviewer assignment across rounds that avoids a submitter's own organisation, exports with reviewer names, video submissions, Move back to Unreviewed, blind review that hides submitter names, and separate Submission settings and Review settings.
- Show Event Only in Search Results keeps an event out of the app's general listings.
- Automatically Open Edit Profile can prompt attendees Never, on Every Login or when Missing Required Fields.
- Also: translatable interests, QR code downloads for landing and promotional links, and deleting a checkout form with a clear statement of what moves to the default form.
Mobile app
- Sign in first, then pick your event. Attendees who don't remember the event name tap Login, sign in with their email and passcode, and choose from the events they belong to.
- Slot-first meeting scheduling. Events can let attendees pick a time slot before a room.
Attendee web portal and event websites
- Admin internal notes on speakers, sessions, exhibitors and sponsors, visible only to admins.
- Abstract portal: reviewer comments included in rejection emails, video submissions with draft saving, and an anonymous review mode.
- Website builder: every navbar gets a Login button and live ticketing and portal-login links that resolve from the event without republishing.
- Public RSVP portal adds a Buy link for paid sessions, name prefixes and suffixes show across the portal, attendees can download their personal agenda as a PDF, and deep links open a speaker, session, exhibitor or sponsor directly.
