The Community feature in Eventify lets you create dedicated spaces where attendees can connect, share content, and engage with each other before, during, and after your event. Unlike the broader Social Feed, communities are structured groups — each with its own type, visibility setting, and moderation controls.

Eventify supports five community types. The type is selected at creation and cannot be changed afterwards.
| Type | Best used for |
|---|---|
| Social Feed | Open discussion feed for all attendees |
| User Groups | Interest- or role-based groups for attendee networking |
| Ice Breaker | Structured Q&A format where attendees browse each other’s answers |
| Job Board | Attendees post and browse job opportunities |
| Meetup | Attendees organize informal meetups within the event |

Q: How many communities can I create per event?
A: There is no fixed limit. You can create multiple communities of different types within the same event.
Q: Can I change a community’s type after it has been created?
A: No. The community type is locked once the community is created. If you need a different type, create a new community.
Q: What is the difference between Public and “Restrict to Members Only”?
A: Public vs. Private controls whether attendees can join freely or must request access. “Restrict to Members Only” controls whether non-members can see the content inside the community. These two settings work independently.
Q: Do attendees need to download the app to participate in communities?
A: Attendees can access communities through both the Eventify mobile app and the web portal.
