Live Q&A must be turned on for each session where you want to use it, either one session at a time or for many sessions at once. This two-step setup — at the session level and at the event level — gives you precise control over which sessions collect questions.
Repeat this for every session where you want to collect questions, or use the bulk option below.

This changes the same Allow Live Q&A setting you see in each session's Advanced Settings.

After enabling a session, navigate to Engagement → Session Engagement → Live Q&A. Open the session dropdown at the top of the screen. Only sessions where "Allow Live Q&A" is turned on will appear here. If a session is missing from the dropdown, check that the toggle is enabled in its Advanced Settings.

Q: I enabled Allow Live Q&A for a session but it doesn't appear in the dropdown. What's wrong?
A: Save the session after toggling the setting, then refresh the Live Q&A screen. If the session still doesn't appear, confirm the toggle was saved correctly in Advanced Settings.
Q: Can I enable Live Q&A for all sessions at once?
A: Yes. In Engagement > Session Engagement > Live Q&A, click Enable for sessions, click Enable all and then Save Changes.
Q: What happens to questions submitted to a session if I later turn off Allow Live Q&A?
A: Existing questions are not deleted. They remain in your admin panel. The session will simply stop appearing in the dropdown for new moderation.
Q: Do I need to do anything else after enabling Allow Live Q&A per session?
A: Yes — if you want questions to publish automatically without manual moderation, you also need to enable the Auto-Publish toggle at the event level. See the Auto-Publish article for details.
Q: Where is the Allow Live Q&A setting?
Go to Content > Schedule, click the session, open the Advanced Settings tab, turn on Allow Live Q&A and save the session.
