Quest tasks using the Scan a QR Code completion method require a physical (or digital) QR code at each checkpoint. When an attendee reaches the location and scans the code with the Eventify app, their task is verified automatically and points are awarded instantly.
Eventify generates a unique QR code for each QR-based task in your quest — you download them all as a single PDF, print, and place them at the appropriate locations.
The Download QR tab is the fourth tab in the Quest creation/edit wizard. It becomes available after your quest has been saved and contains at least one task with the Scan a QR Code completion method.

For an existing quest:
Always test your quest QR codes before the event begins:
If the scan does not register, verify:
QR codes are stable and tied to the task ID — re-downloading generates the same code, not a new one.
Q: Do all quest tasks have QR codes to download?
A: Only tasks using the Scan a QR Code completion method generate downloadable QR codes. Tasks using Upload Photo or Verification Text do not appear in the Download QR tab.
Q: Can I display the QR code digitally instead of printing it?
A: Yes. Display the QR code on a screen, slide, or digital display at the checkpoint. Attendees can scan it from a screen as long as the image is large enough and not distorted.
Q: Can attendees scan quest QR codes using a phone's default camera app?
A: No. Quest QR codes must be scanned through the Eventify app. The app links the scan to the specific attendee's quest progress and awards points accordingly.
Q: Is there a limit to how many QR codes I can generate per quest?
A: No. Eventify generates one QR code per QR-based task — add as many tasks as your quest requires.
Q: What happens if two attendees scan the same quest QR code?
A: Both receive credit for that task independently. Quest QR codes are not single-use — any number of attendees can scan the same checkpoint.
