The Visibility setting controls which active challenges appear to attendees in the Eventify app. It acts as a global display filter — separate from toggling individual challenges on or off.
This setting is found inline on the Manage Challenges page, not in a separate settings menu.
| Option | What Attendees See |
|---|---|
| All | Every active challenge regardless of type |
| Single only | Only one-time (non-recurring) challenges |
| Recurring only | Only repeatable challenges |
All — Default recommended setting for most events. Every active challenge is visible, giving attendees the widest range of ways to earn points.
Single only — Use this when you want to guide attendees toward one-time milestone challenges (e.g. "Complete your profile", "Attend your first session"). Recurring challenges like QR scanning are hidden.
Recurring only — Use this during periods of the event where you want attendees focused on repeated actions (e.g. scanning booths at an exhibition floor). Milestone challenges are hidden.
Q: If I switch from "All" to "Single only" mid-event, what happens to ongoing recurring challenges attendees were working on?
A: Their progress is preserved but the challenges become invisible in the app. Attendees cannot complete or earn additional points from recurring challenges until Visibility is changed back.
Q: Can I set different visibility per challenge instead of globally?
A: Visibility is a global filter. To control individual challenge visibility, use the Active/Inactive toggle on each challenge row.
Q: Does changing Visibility affect the leaderboard?
A: No. Existing points already earned from any challenge type remain on the leaderboard regardless of Visibility setting.
