August was a big month for registration and ticketing, with a rebuilt checkout, hotel booking, a wave of new payment options and a much more flexible refund flow, alongside new website templates and a smarter kiosk. Here is what shipped across the Eventify platform.
Admin panel
- Refund overhaul. When refunding an order, choose per ticket whether to Release seat & remove registration or keep the attendee's registration, refund the Full Amount Buyer Paid or Only What Host Received, handle orders paid in several rounds, download Refund Receipts, and Mark As Refunded Manually for gateways without a refund API.
- Connect your own payment gateway. Under Tickets > Payout, events on the new ticket portal can connect Moyasar (Saudi Arabia), PayMongo (Philippines, including GCash, Maya and QR Ph), Xendit, Tap Payments (GCC), Billplz (Malaysia) and Square, with iyzico (Turkey) and Paystack (Africa) following in September.
- Sell sessions with tickets. On a ticket, list Additional Purchasable Sessions; on a session, mark it Included Free With These Tickets or Available As An Add-On. Order details show a Purchased Sessions card.
- Double-sided and foldable badges. Badge Design gains Add back page and a Foldable layout that rotates the back half for fold-over badges.
- Speaker and sponsor roles per session. Give each speaker or sponsor a role on a session, such as Moderator, and manage the role list with Manage Categories.
- Allow Participant Invites. An Event Settings switch lets the two people in a 1:1 meeting invite extra attendees.
- Auto cut-off registration closes global registration and ticket sales once the event end date has passed.
- Extract/Export Event Data. Request a full, password-protected archive of every CSV and uploaded file for an event, ready within 24 to 48 hours, for GDPR and record keeping.
- Also: an account-wide Switch Form Builder Interface option (Node Builder or Classic), multiple Ticket Tags per ticket, a Daywise Schedule Visibility option, and password history plus re-authentication before destructive actions.
Registration and ticketing
- New ticket checkout. The ticket portal was rebuilt from the ground up for speed and reliability, with the same flow your buyers already know.
- Add Sessions at checkout. Buyers can add paid sessions to their tickets in a dedicated step, see which ticket each session comes with, assign sessions to attendees and manage them later under Purchased Sessions on their order page. RSVP sessions show how many seats are left.
- Six new payment gateways at checkout, so events in the Middle East and South-East Asia can take local payments.
- Hotel booking in checkout. The new Accommodation step lets a buyer search hotels near the venue for their group, compare rooms and rates, add rooms and assign attendees to them before paying.
- Field instructions. Registration form fields can carry an instruction that attendees see as an info icon next to the label. Read more.
Mobile app
- External links on sessions. Speakers and organisers editing a session in the app can attach up to five external links, typed as Presentation, Spreadsheet, PDF, Image or Video, and attendees see them next to the session files. The same links, plus Google Doc and Slides links, can be added from the admin panel.
- Two-sided badges in Kiosk Mode. Badge templates with a back side now print both sides at the kiosk, with a Fanfold Pattern setting for fold-at-top or fold-at-bottom stock.
- Seats indicator. Sessions with RSVP limits show how many seats are reserved.
Attendee web portal and event websites
- Seven new website templates. Fintech, Tech Conference, Enterprise, Nebula, Blackout, Applause and Meridian join the website builder, each with hero, agenda, speakers, sponsors, pricing, FAQ and countdown blocks.
- Password-protected pages. Any page of an event website can require a password.
- Google Docs and Slides on sessions. Session files accept Google Doc and Google Slides links with an inline preview, and sessions list their external links.
- Speaker roles per session show on the schedule and in the session details.
- My Tasks. Attendees, exhibitors and speakers with tasks assigned by the organiser get a checklist with Mark as done and Submit for approval.
Widgets
- Why Attend widget. A visitor enters their role and company and gets a personalised report with the sessions, speakers and exhibitors they shouldn't miss, plus a ready-to-send "Convince your boss" email.
- Events list widget. Show all of your organisation's events on your own site, with search.
- Schedule search now matches speakers and partners as well as sessions.
