We’re excited to introduce new features in Matchmaking in the Eventify event management app! These advanced features enhance networking opportunities and user engagement by intelligently connecting participants based on shared interests and predefined visibility rules.
The Matchmaking dashboard provides a high-level summary of the feature's performance during the event. Key metrics include conversations, total meetings, number of accepted meeting requests, accepted chat requests and engagement rate metrics. These metrics allow event organisers to monitor the success of matchmaking efforts and optimise strategies for future events.
The Matchmaking Settings section enables organisers to customise how user suggestions are presented to participants.
User Suggestions Toggle: Enable or disable user suggestions within the Eventify app. When enabled, participants can view personalised matchmaking suggestions in the "Messages - Suggested" tab within the app.
Show Suggestions Based on Common Interests Only:
You can view your matches with mutual interests and it also shows the percentage of matching. Filters user suggestions to display only those with overlapping interests, ensuring meaningful and relevant matches. This improves the quality of interactions by focusing on shared preferences. You can directly message them and connect with like-minded people.
This section allows organisers to define visibility and matchmaking rules between different user groups. The settings ensure that specific groups can see and connect with others based on event requirements.
Each row in the User Groups table represents a primary group (e.g., Attendee, Speaker, Sponsor, etc.). The columns define which other groups are visible to members of the primary group.
For example: Attendees can see other Attendees, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, and all other roles (Admin, Manager, Volunteer, etc.). If a checkbox is unchecked (e.g., Attendee → Sponsor), attendees will not see sponsors in their matchmaking suggestions.
If an event is sponsor-driven, sponsors may be set to only connect with attendees and speakers while restricting visibility to other sponsors.
