Top 11 Startup Conferences In September 2017

More and more startups are coming into business every quarter. At the end of 2016 Q4, nearly 8% of the job-searchers in the United States had launched their own businesses (up by 2.5 percentage points on a YoY basis). A recent Nasscom report has predicted that more than 210000 people will be working in tech startups by the end of this decade. The US, rather expectedly, has the most startups in the world – with Britain and India taking up the second and third spots respectively. Interest in startup events and conferences is also going up among entrepreneurs worldwide, and we will here take a look at some of these events scheduled in September 2017:

  • Pirate Summit

    This invitation-only startup event kicks off on the 6th of September at Cologne, Germany. Venture capitalists and angel investors are expected to be present in large numbers at the two-day Summit, along with business accelerators, senior-level managers, company founders and product/service managers. The overall visitor count at Pirate Summit 2017 is expected to be well in excess of 1200, hailing from than 70 different countries. As many as 80 new startups (<3 years in business) will pitch their businesses at the show – and attendees will have ample opportunities to get funding, business advice and networking support.   • Afrolynk 2017
